Chinese women’s volleyball team head coach Lang Ping said yesterday that this week’s FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix in Macau will be a preparation for their matches in the Olympic Games in Rio in August.
Lang made the comments yesterday during a pre-event press conference for the women’s tournament at Galaxy Macau, the Cotai resort of Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) which is the event’s title sponsor. The event’s organisers are the Sports Bureau and Volleyball Association of Macau, China.
The matches spike off today with Brazil vs Serbia starting at 4 p.m., to be followed by China vs Belgium from 8 p.m. The matches tomorrow will start at 2:30 p.m. with Brazil vs Belgium. Then from 5 p.m. it’s China vs Serbia. Sunday’s matches will start at 1 p.m. with Belgium vs Serbia, and then from 3:30 p.m. China and Brazil bill battle it out. All matches will take place at Macau Forum.
