Yamazato Japanese Restaurant at Hotel Okura Macau re-opened for dinner this month from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Yamazato serves sushi, authentic Kaiseki meals in Kyoto style and fresh seasonal ingredients. The Kaiseki menus at Yamazato are elevated to a true art form, a variety of complementary and contrasting flavours, textures, temperatures, colours and shapes. Executive Chef Takeda carefully selects the best seasonal ingredients and then meticulously prepares and presents them in ways that subtly enhance their natural flavour and appearance, without any repetition between courses.
Executive Chef Morihiro Takeda believes that food should bring the ultimate joy to customers, and he takes pride in his Kaiseki selections and unified approach to creations that incorporate seasonal ingredients.
Yamazato has an extraordinary Sake List with over 40 delicious sakes including hard-to-find premium sakes, limited edition seasonal specials, and smaller regional breweries, selected by Sommelier Wendy O who works closely with Executive Chef Takeda to find the right sake to pare with the intricate Yamazato dishes.
Yamazato was in the South China Morning Post’s (SCMP) “100 Top Tables” list for eight consecutive years. In the 2021, Michelin Guide HK/MAC, Yamazato was recognised as an “Elegant” Japanese restaurant. Yamazato is also a Forbes recommended restaurant for travellers.
Yamazato is located on the 28th floor of the Okura Hotel, Yamazato can be easily accessed via the guest lift from the hotel lobby and customers can enjoy breath-taking views of the Galaxy Skywave pool and Cotai scenery.
