The 2021 Sands China Macau International 10K race will be held on Sunday and entrants can pick up their bibs from today, the Sports Bureau (ID) said in a statement yesterday.
A bib is a rectangular piece of material, with a number attached, worn as identification by entrants in a race. The bib numbers are used to identify the entrants.
According to the statement, the 2021 Sands China Macau International 10K, co-organised by the Sports Bureau and the General Association of Athletics of Macau, will be held on Sunday.
The two race categories, namely Fun Run and 10K, will start at 7 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. respectively in Sai Van Lake Square. Both races will finish at the Olympic Sports Centre Stadium.
According to the statement, the 10K entrants may collect their bibs, timing chips, identification wristbands (as part of anti-COVID-19 measures) and information documents from today to Friday between 12 noon and 9 p.m., and on Saturday from 12 noon to 10 p.m. at the Olympic Sports Centre Indoor Pavilion, by presenting their registration receipt, ID and proof of a valid negative COVID-19 test result (inclusive of race day).
Entrants unable to collect the items may authorise another person to collect them on his or her behalf by signing the authorisation on the registration receipt, while the person collecting them on behalf of the entrants must present his or her ID, the receipt with the signature and a copy of the entrant’s ID plus proof of a valid negative COVID-19 test result with the entrant’s name. Entrants are reminded to keep the bibs, timing chips and wristbands in a safe place as inspections will be carried out on race day, the statement underlined.
The statement noted that all entrants are required to show proof of a valid negative COVID-19 test result and are required to undergo a temperature check upon entering the venue, while spectators and event officials are required to present a valid “Macau Health Code” and always wear a facemask during the event.
Entrants may log on to https://app.ssm.gov.mo/sandsmacao10krnabook to make an appointment for their COVID-19 test. Upon making an appointment, entrants should take the ID that they used for the race registration to the testing site at the appointed time. No testing fee is required. Non-local residents who registered with an ID other than their passport should also take along their passport or “blue card” for the test, according to the statement.
