On average each person living in Macau has been to IKEA twice in the past year, IKEA Macau Store Manager Jacklyn Tse Hiu Yin said during the store’s one-year anniversary press conference at its Taipa location yesterday.
Tse noted that if all the meatballs IKEA Macau sold in the past year were stacked up it would equate to the height of 60 Macau Towers. She also pointed out that every third person in Macau owns a blue iconic IKEA recyclable bag. She stressed that since launching the first Macau store last year, the store has become the local community’s ultimate leisure spot at weekends and holidays.
According to a statement handed out by IKEA Macau during yesterday’s press conference, IKEA is celebrating its first anniversary from today until May 10. The statement said that the celebration includes an IKEA Tear-off Card Lucky Draw, IKEA Auction and IKEA One Pataca Deals, special prices on selected products, along with other in-store events and shopping offers. The statement said there are more events in May for families and for customers born in April or May.
