The government announced last night that all sales of live poultry in the city will be stopped at least for the next three days after discovering the H7-type avian influenza in an environmental sample at Iao Hon Municipal Market yesterday.

Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) President Jose Fonseca Tavares made the announcement during a hastily arranged press conference at the bureau late last night.

The press conference was jointly hosted by the IACM and the Health Bureau (SSM).
