The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) announced yesterday that it has cancelled the “Genesis and Spirit – Showcase of Anhui Intangible Cultural Heritage” on Friday due to the current novel coronavirus pandemic situation.
According to the statement, the planned activities for “Genesis and Spirit” will be cancelled, including the opening ceremony on Friday at the IAM Gallery, the thematic exhibition from Saturday to July 4 at the gallery, the thematic talks on Saturday at Zheng Guanying Memorial Museum, the performance on Saturday and Sunday at Mandarin’s House, the art and craft demonstrations from June 15 to 20 at Lou Kau Mansion, and the arts and crafts workshops of Wang Clan hand fan making and Huashan paper cutting from June 19 to 20 at Mandarin’s House. The statement pointed out that the participants in the events will be notified by SMS.
The bureau vowed to pay close attention to the developing COVID-19 pandemic situation and will be adjusting its schedule according to the circumstances.
