The Sports Bureau (ID) announced in a statement yesterday that it has decided to cancel its “Family Sports Day” event which was scheduled to be held the Sunday after next due to the current COVID-19 pandemic situation.
According to the statement, the event was to take place at the Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion on June 27. The statement said that the event had been prepared by the Sports Bureau, the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ), Macau General Union of Neighbourhood Associations (Kai Fong), Macau Federation of Trade Unions (Gung Luen), the Women’s General Association of Macau (Fu Luen).
The statement underlined that after careful consideration the Sports Bureau decided to cancel the event because under the current COVID-19 pandemic situation it would be inappropriate to host indoor activities.
The statement said that the bureau will message residents about the cancellation.
