The Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau (SAFP) has launched an online service for parents or guardians to open a “Common Access to Public Services of the Macau SAR” account for minors, an Identification Services Bureau (DSI) statement said yesterday.
According to a separate SAFP statement, the “Common Access to Public Services of the Macau SAR”, which is known as “single account portal” in Chinese (一戶通), has launched a simplified version and allows parents or guardians to sign up for their children under the age of 18. The statement said that the system has expanded its functions, adding that it now also has a “my health” option that allows residents to check their medical and vaccination history as well as make reservations for flu shots.
The statement said that besides health management, the system also offers over 70 public services, and the system currently reaches 193,000 users.
The DSI statement reminded parents or guardians to input their relationship with the child and that they need to conduct a facial recognition for themselves too. The statement said that if the system shows a message saying “We are unable to verify the guardian relationship, please check the data entered”, then the parents or guardians must double check if the minor’s file already has information about his or her parents or guardians.
The DSI statement stressed that it has already set up a verification function on the system, and the parents or guardians can register their underage children’s Macau ID card number by using that function. The statement noted that the verification process can take up to five working days, and the bureau will notify the parents or guardians to hand in supplementary documents if necessary.
The statement also said that if the parental or guardianship relationship changes, the parent or guardian who registered the information must notify the bureau as soon as possible.
