The “Macau Secondary School Students Sculpture Art Competition Awards Exhibition 2021” at the Youth Art Exhibition and Performance Hall in Praça do Tap Seac is showcasing the contest’s award-winning works.
The event is organised by the Macau Sculpture Association and sponsored by the public Macau Foundation (FM).
According to an article on the website of the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ), a total of 69 entries by individuals and groups were submitted to the competition, and the overall standard of the works was “relatively high”, reflecting the effectiveness of local schools’ promotion of the art of sculpting and the students’ enthusiasm for this art form.
A total of 23 winning artworks created by the students are being displayed.
According to the article, the association hopes that through the exhibition the participating students can exchange ideas and learn from each other.
The exhibition also aims to enable the public to understand young people’s thinking and thoughts, apart from appreciating the exhibits, the article underlined.
