Grassroots legislator Antonio Ng Kuok Cheong yesterday said he “doesn’t accept” the government’s reply to one of his previous written interpellations concerning a high-rise project at the bottom of Coloane Hill, reiterating his stance that the project should be passed to the Urban Planning Council for discussion.

Ng made the remarks in a written interpellation submitted to the government yesterday. He sent copies of the document to the media.

The grassroots lawmaker asked Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On in his written interpellation in March whether he would pass the project to the council for an in-depth review. Last month, Lands, Public Works and Transport Bureau (DSSOPT) Director Li Canfeng, who replied to Ng’s question, said his bureau “does not have the relevant information”.
