The Macau International Environmental Co-operation Forum and Exhibition (MIECF) said in a statement yesterday that due to the government’s new COVID-19 prevention and control measures, the exhibition that will take place from tomorrow until Saturday will be online only.
According to the statement, the organisers considered the predicament and decided that the offline activities for the exhibition will be cancelled, including the Green Forum and physical exhibitions, to avoid crowd gatherings and reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmissions.
However, the statement said that the organisers decided to keep online activities such as virtual business matching in order to help enterprises seize green business opportunities.
The organisers said that the affected participants can visit www.macaomiecf.com for the latest information, adding that the organisers are following up on the situation by contacting attendees and exhibitors about the new arrangements through various channels. Meanwhile, during yesterday’s press conference Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) President Lau Wai Meng pointed out that the exhibition revolves around the theme “Towards a Green and Low Carbon New Era”.
The exhibition is co-organised by IPIM and an event organising team.
