The Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) said in a statement yesterday that the Macau Grand Prix Museum and the Ritz Building including its Tourist Information counters and exhibition hall reopen today, while its “Stay Dine and See Macao” local tours will remain suspended until further notice.

According to the statement, MGTO announced earlier this month the cancellation of the local tours under the “Stay, Dine and See Macao” from August 4-17 over the city’s Delta variant scare, but the tours remain suspended sine die. The statement said that residents are advised to pay attention to the latest COVID-19 situation, adding that for any enquiries about the latest arrangements of the “Stay, Dine and See Macao”, residents can call 8396 3052 or 2838 9153 between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily.

The statement also noted that the Macau Grand Prix Museum and the Ritz Building, under the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO), will reopen to the public today but only with limited visitation. The statement pointed out that the daily volume of visitors received by the Macau Grand Prix Museum will be reduced by half, from 1,100 to 550 persons per day, while the museum’s free guide service remains suspended and group visit applications are cancelled. For enquires about the museum, residents and visitors can call 8593 0515 or 8593 0516.

The statement said that the Tourist Information counter and exhibition hall on the ground floor of the museum as well as the breastfeeding room on the first floor of the Ritz Building also reopen today, with no more than 25 people to be accommodated at a time, adding that all venue booking applications for this month remain suspended.

The statement pointed out that the visitation restrictions of the abovementioned venues will remain in effect until August 31, and MGTO will reinforce cleaning of the facilities, both indoors and outdoors, and maintain strict adherence to the government’s COVID-19 prevention and control measures.

MGTO pledged to pay close attention to the latest situation of the pandemic and actively comply with the Health Bureau’s guidelines on COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control measures while making prompt and appropriate arrangements.
