The Judiciary Police (PJ) said in a statement on Saturday that a local male was seen outside a supermarket in Avenida de Horta e Costa burning an advertisement board with a blow torch.
The statement said that at 2:50 p.m. on Saturday, a 59-year-old local man was holding a blow torch which was connected to a portable gas bottle and burning the advertisement board outside a supermarket. The statement pointed out that the suspect set the advertisement on fire, then immediately put it out, adding that he then continued wandering around outside the supermarket.
According to the statement, a person reported the case to a traffic police officer nearby. The statement said that when the police arrived at the scene and intercepted the man, he was talking to himself and appeared to be “mentally abnormal.”
