Since Wednesday, individuals entering Macau from mainland cities via the local airport must present valid proof of their negative result of a COVID-19 nucleic acid test (NAT) with samples taken within an extended span of seven days, prior to boarding, the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) said in a statement yesterday.

“MGTO is making vigorous promotional efforts in showcasing Macau as a safe and quality destination and spotlighting travel information, special offers and more among visitors to welcome them for a wonderful journey,” the statement said.

A total of six passenger flights arrived in Macau from the mainland on Wednesday.

“To highlight Macau as a safe and quality destination among travellers, Macau Tourism Mascot Mak Mak showed up at the Macau International Airport to welcome visitors upon their arrival” the statement said.
