An exhibition entitled “New Era” (新時代) by members of the Ark-Association of Macau Art (AAMA), hosted by the association in conjunction with Graceart Design Studio, is being held at the Jao Tsung-I Academy (澳門饒宗頤學藝館).

The exhibition displays artworks from 15 members in different mediums, aiming to express their views on their main contributions to civil society and their families, according to a statement by the association.

The statement points out that “as the saying goes: we never visit the same place twice. We are responding to the changing environment, and at every stage, we are striving to pursue happiness. Although happiness is a different term for different people, the little action that each of us does adapts and contributes to a new era”.

The statement underlines that “we work together to create the entire scene we are in, from going to work daily, typing a message with the keyboard, dining in different restaurants, walking in the garden, smiling at strangers, volunteering to help others, learning new skills, taking care of our parents, educating others, and more. Our small step pushes the overall scene to change. When we seem to be looking for our own satisfaction, indeed each of us is cooperating with each other and contributing to the entire society”.

The exhibition runs until Saturday at 95 C-D Avenida do Conselheiro Ferreira de Almeida. The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily (no admission after 5:30 p.m.), including public holidays (except Mondays). Admission is free.

As part of the government’s COVID-19 epidemic prevention measures, all visitors entering the academy need to wear a facemask, have their temperature checked and present a digital health code.
