Casino Oceanus near Macau's Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal is back in business after "thorough cleaning and disinfection", as well as inspection by the Macau Health Bureau (SSM), gaming operator SJM has announced.

According to an SJM statement yesterday, the casino reopened on Saturday.

SJM announced last Monday that it decided to close the casino for disinfection in the wake of the government's Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre's announcement that two of a four-member COVID-19 cluster of renovation workers had recently visited the casino.

SJM said in yesterday's statement that the company "strictly adheres" to the government's COVID-19 prevention and control measures "to ensure a safe and hygienic environment, safeguarding the health and safety of employees, guests and the entire Macau community."

According to the website of Macau's Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ), SJM owns 22 of Macau's 41 casinos.

SJM is one of Macau's six rival casino operators.
