The Social Security Fund (FSS) is extending its deadline for the payment of contributions (dues) and the employment fees for non-resident workers to November 5, according to a statement by the public fund.
The statement noted that the decision to extend the payment deadline for residents and employers was made to reduce crowds gathering, while also considering the number of this month’s public holidays and public servants not working early this month in accordance with the government’s COVID-19 pandemic prevention measures.
Interest and fines can be waived if employers have made the payment even after the deadline, the statement underlined.
To reduce crowds gathering and queuing time, the bureau urged employers and beneficiaries of the system to use the fund’s electronic channel or the appointment service, the statement pointed out.
The statement urged employers and beneficiaries of the system that have already applied to use the Electronic Filing Service to use electronic channels to make their payments to save time and reduce the risk of transmission. If it is necessary to visit service points in person, the fund recommended to use the appointment service to get a ticket number online.
