Three people got carbon monoxide poisoning after walking past an auto body shop and smelling a weird odour in Travessa do Armazém Velho, a Fire Services Bureau (CB) said in a statement yesterday.
According to the statement, the three people felt dizzy and had a shortness of breath and were all taken to the private Kiang Wu Hospital. The statement said that all of them were in stable condition, pointing out that last Saturday, three people also felt unwell after spray painting in the same auto body shop and were all taken to a hospital.
The statement said that at 7:45 p.m. the firefighters received a report saying that the auto body shop had started spray painting and they had recorded a carbon monoxide level of 15 ppm. The statement said that the bureau has alerted the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) and the Environmental Protection Bureau (DSPA) about the two incidents.
