The “Macau-Guangzhou Products Fair” is set to take place from January 7-9 at the Poly World Trade Centre in Guangzhou, according to a statement by the Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) yesterday.
The statement noted that the fair is jointly organised by IPIM and the Guangzhou Municipal Commission of Commerce.
The statement pointed out that the fair is an important economic and trade cooperation event between the two cities, with items to be sold mainly featuring “Made-in-Macau products, Macau branded products, products from Portuguese-speaking countries and overseas products under franchise in Macau.” Moreover, the categories of exhibited products also include souvenirs, cultural and creative products, youth creative products, and consumer products and food, among others, the statement added.
The statement said that the exhibits will include Macau-made products, Macau brands and overseas products distributed by Macau agents, with priority given to products from Portuguese-speaking countries.
The statement underlined that procurement matching and networking activities will be organised to allow matching and cooperation between the two cities’ enterprises, enabling companies from Macau to explore the mainland market and promote economic and trade cooperation between them.
The statement underlined that IPIM is providing an incentive programme for companies in Macau, covering a standard booth, accommodation, transportation, round-trip freight transportation, storage area and temporary staff, and only requires a participation fee payment of 2,000 patacas for a booth from eligible enterprises.
The statement noted that those interested can download the registration form at www.ipim.gov.mo and submit the form between now and November 12, adding that the registration and enquiry hotline is 2822 8289.
