The Health Bureau (SSM) warned residents in a statement yesterday not to use the hair loss treatment “Neo Hair Lotion” as it contains minoxidil.
According to the statement, the Hong Kong Health Department announced recently that the lotion has side effects such as scalp irritation and prickling. The statement underlined that the product was not approved to be imported into Macau.
The bureau urged residents who have already purchased the product to stop using it immediately and send it to the bureau’s medical department. For any enquiries, one can contact the bureau on 8598 3441.
