With the support of the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), the Macau Cultural Centre (CCM) is launching the ARTwarming Winter next month, according to a statement by the bureau, yesterday.

The statement noted that the Singing Club’s Annual concert will be held on December 19 and is inspired by international “flower-themed songs”, which will be performed in a variety of styles. The concert will also feature covers song of movie soundtracks and folk traditions from places including mainland China, the Czech Republic and South Korea while also presenting a guest artist who will join a percussion jam session, the statement added.

The statement underlined that “Arty Christmas”, also on December 19, will feature “fun-filled moments” by a collection of local artists. The statement added that this will include a “street dance show” by “TDSM’s little dancers”, an art installation at CCM’s foyer, an arts and crafts corner for Christmas ornaments, a mini concert and reading sessions of some Christmas stories and backstage tours, among others. The statement said that audiences can also join a shadow puppetry show entitled Na Rua and interact with stilt walkers.

Meanwhile, the statement pointed out that from December 24-26, a “lively” and wordless show called “Little Devil”, which was created by Shanghainese children’s theatre group Little Player, illustrates the struggles parents face with their kids during bedtime and is about a girl and her initially quiet brother “who will illuminate the white setting with a string of colourful, creative games”. The statement noted that tickets for the show will be available from Sunday at CCM’s box office and the Macau Ticketing Network outlets at various discounts with details found at www.ccm.gov.mo or calling 2840 0555.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic prevention measures, the statement emphasised that patrons are required to wear a facemask, undergo body temperature checks and present a valid Macau Health Code.
