Photo exhibition shows historical importance of Ho Lan Un district

As part of the Ferreira de Almeida Festival (2021荷蘭園巡禮), a photography exhibition is displaying Macau’s past imagery of Ho Lan Un (荷蘭園) district at G32 Gallery. The exhibition is jointly hosted by the St. Lazarus Church District Creative Industries Promotion Association (望德堂區創意產業促進會), Cheok Chai Un Fok Tak Chi Tou Tei Mio Chek Lei Wui Macau Association (澳門雀仔園福德祠土地廟值理會), the Macau Thailand Chamber of Commerce (澳門泰國商會), Macau Soi Ho Cheok Fong Chon Wu Cho Wui (澳門水荷雀坊眾互助會), the Industry and Commerce Federation of Macau Central and Southern District (澳門中區南區工商聯會), and Hotel Royal (皇都酒店).

Ho Lan Un (“Holland Garden”) is a district on the peninsula. It is a traditional business district which connects the northern and southern districts of Macau.

According to the festival’s statement, the exhibition aims to highlight the district’s historical importance through photography.  

The exhibition is on until Friday. The art gallery is located at 32 Rua de São Miguel (聖美基街). It opens from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except on Mondays. Admission is free.

As part of the Macau government’s COVID-19 prevention measures, all visitors are required to wear a facemask, show their digital health code and have their temperature checked.
