Macau Family Reunion Federation President Lei Iok Lan, 64, rejects all allegations of aggravated disobedience and unlawful assembly in the Court of First Instance (TJB) yesterday.
The issue at hand is concerned with a scuffle outside the Legislative Assembly (AL) in August last year with over 100 mostly elderly members of the federation being refused entry to the legislature for the tri-annual Q&A session with Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On.
The federation was founded in 2012 and has been active in petitioning and protesting for the right of abode of local residents’ mainland-born adult offspring in Macau.
