‘Tap Siac Craft Market’ resumes on Friday with new brands

The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) announced in a statement yesterday that the “Tap Siac Craft Market” will be open again in Praça do Tap Seac from Friday to Sunday with “a new round of cultural and creative brands”. 

According to the statement, there will be 110 booths from “cultural and creative practitioners from the mainland and Macau”, adding that 80 percent of the brands will be different from the previous week, with items such as clothing, accessories and handicrafts. There will also be a booth set up by the bureau selling its publications at “special discounts”.

The statement noted that there will also be 18 creative workshops. The statement advised applicants to attend the workshops on time and that if there are vacancies left, those interested may register on-site and pay the registration fees from 5 p.m. on Friday. The fee for each handicraft workshop is priced at 50 patacas.

The statement pointed out that the bureau will follow the guidelines of the Health Bureau (SSM), requiring participants to wear a facemask, undergo temperature checks, maintain at least one metre social distancing and present a valid Macau Health Code prior to entering the venue, the statement said. The statement also emphasised that participants with a “fever or respiratory symptoms” are barred from entering the venue while a limit on the number of admissions will be imposed, adding that entry will be suspended if overcrowding occurs.

The market will be open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. during the weekend.
