The Economic and Technological Development Bureau (DSEDT) urged residents in a statement yesterday to use up their startup fund and immediate discount grant on their e-consumption smartcards before the year ends.
The bureau pointed out that the remaining balance will be returned to the public coffers. The statement said that once residents’ balance on the startup fund is lower than 10 patacas, they can top up their own cards in order to spend the remaining immediate discount grant.
According to the statement, those who chose to use the physical e-consumption smartcard, can continue to use the smartcard as a normal Macau Pass. The statement added that more information about the physical smartcard will be announced via Macau Pass.
