Three members of the government-appointed Urban Planning Council yesterday urged the government to keep the façade of the dilapidated Hotel Estoril which appears to be destined for demolition.

The trio made the appeal separately during a regular meeting of the council.

Yesterday’s meeting, held at the Transport Bureau (DSAT), included a discussion of the proposed legal conditions for the redevelopment of the plot where the Estoril Swimming Pool and Hotel Estoril are located. Only the three members who made the appeal expressed their views about the controversial project among the 35-member council.
