A 70-year-old local man exposed his genitals to a female cleaner and masturbated in a men’s toilet in a community service building in Coloane’s Seac Pai Van public housing estate on Christmas Eve, the Public Security Police (PSP) announced in a statement last week.
The statement said that when the victim was cleaning the toilet on Christmas Eve, a man suddenly stood behind her, exposed his private parts when she turned around and began to masturbate.
The woman immediately left the toilet and then reported the case to the police.
After scrutinising the police forces’ citywide CCTV camera system, PSP officers identified the man and arrested him in Rua do Almirante Sérgio (河邊新街) in the Inner Harbour area the next day, the statement said.
Under questioning by the police, the man admitted that he had exposed his genitals to the woman and masturbated because he was attracted to her.
The man has been transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office (MP), facing an exhibitionism charge, which carries a prison term of up to one year.
Sexual harassment at pick-up point
Meanwhile, in another statement last week the Public Security Police announced that a man working in a pick-up point in the Seac Pai Van public housing estate deliberately fondled the breasts of a woman who was collecting an express parcel on Christmas Day. The statement identified the suspect as a 30-year-old non-resident worker from the mainland.
According to the statement, the pick-up point is a courier service outlet where clients collect parcels containing items that they have bought online and have been delivered to Macau.
The statement said that the victim went to the pick-up point to collect an express parcel on Christmas Day. When the man handed the parcel to the woman, he took the chance to fondle her breasts for a few seconds.
The woman reported the case to the police.
PSP officers arrived at the pick-up point, where the suspect admitted to the crime. He also told the police that since last month he had tried to touch the breasts of female clients every time he was handing the express parcels to them. However, the man told the police that he did not succeed in fondling women’s breasts every time.
After scrutinising the shop’s CCTV footage, the PSP officers confirmed that the man had touched the breasts of two other female clients earlier the same day, the statement said.
The officers later contacted the two other women, who said that the man did touch their breasts but they did not report to the police as they thought that he merely did so by accident.
The man has been transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office (MP), facing sexual harassment charges. A sexual harassment suspect faces a prison term of up to one year.
The two undated photos provided by the Public Security Police (PSP) last week show PSP officers escorting the two suspects to a police station separately.
