The Macau Institute for Tourism Studies (IFTM) will host its “IFTM Open Day” on January 9, according to a statement from the tertiary education institute.
The statement underlined that the event will be held both online and offline, with the event set to take place at the IFTM Taipa Campus’s “Forward Building” from 1:45 p.m. to 6 p.m. Moreover, the institute’s training hotel Pousada de Mong-Há on the Mong-Há campus will also be open to visitors during the event.
The statement underlined that the event is aimed at Macau residents, particularly to enable secondary school students graduating later this year to learn more about the institute and its programmes.
The statement pointed out that “student ambassadors” will guide visitors around the campus. A “programme and admission information station” for secondary school students, which will also allow for on-the-spot programme registration, will be set, the statement added.
Meanwhile, there will be two programme-sharing sessions held online and offline by current students, faculty members, and alumni, as well as lucky draws.
Various workshops will be provided during the event, with themes such as eco-crafts, mocktails and tea art, as well as cooking demonstrations, the statement said. There will also be game booths, food stalls, an outdoor café, and a mini-concert.
The statement noted that IFTM will run a shuttle bus service on Sunday. Visitors can catch the shuttle bus at Block 15 of Nova City in Rua de Coimbra in Taipa, which will depart every half hour from 1:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. From the Mong- Há campus, visitors may take the shuttle bus from the bus stop below Mong-Há Hill, which will depart every half hour from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. to the Taipa campus.
