MGM’s two local resorts are offering festive feasts and delicacies at their restaurants.

According to an MGM statement yesterday, the Sichuanese restaurant Five Foot Road at MGM COTAI offers authentic regional à-la-cart dishes and set menus, with a dining experience “reminiscent of a banquet held at mansions in Chengdu”.

The Assorted Sichuan Preserved Meat Platter is a dish representing centuries-old Chinese New Year (CNY) customs in the region, while the Steamed Chicken with Pickled Chili, Shredded Winter Bamboo Shoots, Ham and Ginger is in the shape of a Chinese red lantern symbolising prosperity for the coming year. The statement added that the set menus also feature Sichuanese classics such as marinated fresh abalone with homemade chili sauce, Sichuan style.

The menus are priced at 3,688 patacas for four or 8,088 patacas for 10, with a 10 percent service charge.

Moreover, the statement added that Chún at MGM COTAI and Imperial Court at MGM MACAU are offering CNY special set dinner menus.  Imperial Court’s menu feature dishes such as steamed yellow croaker with chicken bouillon and baked Japanese softshell lobster with cheese and butter, while Chún’s set menu features braised African abalone and Goose Web with Hua Diao and Abalone Sauce.

The statement added that both sets are good for six and are priced at 6,800 patacas, with both offering “a-la carte, dim sum and Poon Choi Treasure Bowl”.

Chinese calligraphers and traditional papercutting artists will be at the three restaurants to present their craftsmanship to guests during the first three days of the holiday, the statement underlined.

Meanwhile, afternoon tea sets are available for guests at Rossio and Anytime, while Coast also provides Chinese New Year afternoon tea sets, the statement noted. Chún also offers an afternoon tea set that includes nine different Cantonese dim sum dishes priced at 188 patacas per person.

Festive pudding gift boxes including classics like Chinese New Year Coconut and Ginger Pudding and the new Water Chestnut and Osmanthus with Bird’s Nest Pudding are also offered, the statement said.

Gift vouchers are available for sale until January 31 in the Pastry Bar, Imperial Court and Square Eight at MGM MACAU, as well as Hao Guo, Anytime, Chún, Five Foot Road and Miàn Duì Miàn at MGM COTAI, with prices starting from 298 patacas, the statement underlined

Other restaurants at the MGM properties also offer various dining options during the CNY holiday. Reservations and enquiries can be made by contacting 8802 3888 or visiting www.mgm.mo
