An exhibition entitled “Renew Your Strength” (重新得力) is on display at Chun Chou Tong Pavilion (春草堂) in the Lou Lim Ieoc Garden until Friday.

The exhibition aims to encourage the public to appreciate and show curiosity towards artworks created by Pui Ching Middle School (PCMS) students. It also aims to step into students’ inner worlds to explore their passions, hopes, and creativities, according to a statement by PCMS.

There are more than 200 artworks created by over 180 students of the school in the past three months. The students were assisted by Pui Ching Middle School visual art teachers such as Louis Lou (盧聖生), Thomas Kuok (郭家駿), and curator Nikita Ng (吳惠賢).

The displayed artworks consist of different art mediums such as watercolour, ink, and photography.

The exhibition is hosted by PCMS, co-organised by the Macau Dandelion Child Cultural Center (中華兒童文化藝術促進會蒲公英〔澳門〕兒童文化中心), and the venue is sponsored by the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM).

The statement underlined that art does not have to be beautiful but it must consist of creativity and thoughts. Thus, the exhibits demonstrate every student’s unique characteristics, allowing visitors to see the glory of God who created all things on Earth. PCMS is associated with the Baptist creed.

The exhibition is open daily at the pavilion in the public park until Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is free.

As part of the government’s COVID-19 epidemic prevention measures, all visitors entering the garden have to wear a facemask, have their temperature checked and present a digital health code.
