The 30th Macau International Music Festival (FIMM), which takes place in October, will be mostly classical music and jazz, according to a presentation yesterday.
Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) President Guilherme Ung Vai Meng gave a press conference about the programme at the Tourism Activities Centre (CAT) yesterday.
Themed “Glorious 30 – The Sinophone Rhapsodies”, Ung said the bureau had chosen Giacomo Puccini’s three-act opera “Turandot” as the festival’s opening show on October 1, while film score composer Timothy Brock and the Macau Orchestra will lead the “Chaplin Once More!” concert as the festival’s closing show on October 30.
This undated photo provided by Cultural Affairs Bureau yesterday shows a performance by the Mongolian State Morin Khuur Ensemble. The group will perform “Voice from the Mongolian Steppe” on October 8 as part of the 30th FIMM.
