An exhibition of artwork entitled “Innocent Children’s Dreams • Creating the Future Together” (童真童夢•同創未來) by teachers and pupils from the Kung Luen Vocational & Technical Middle School (澳門工聯職業技術中學 – KLJC), celebrates the fifth anniversary of the school’s kindergarten.

“Kung Luen” is the Cantonese name of the Macau Federation of Trade Unions.

The artwork is on display at the ground-floor Zizhan Gallery of the Education and Youth Development Bureau’s (DSEDJ) Education Resources Centre until Saturday.

According to a statement by the gallery, the exhibition aims to publicise the school’s development and to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the setting-up of the school’s kindergarten.

The exhibition features about 100 artworks comprising graphic design, 3D models, Chinese painting, calligraphy, watercolours, clay and collages. The statement pointed out that the exhibits have been created by teachers and students from the school’s kindergarten, primary, and secondary sections.

The statement said the school aims to train local professionals. The school opened a kindergarten section in 2017 and focuses on physical and mental development of young children through its “sound and positive” learning system. The statement pointed out that the school has been running a primary section since 2020.

The statement noted that the school’s innovative education system vows to promote the concept of “loving the nation, loving Macau” so that it can comprehensively develop students’ potential and cultivate talented people for civil society.

The gallery is located at 926 Avenida da Praia Grande. It opens between Mondays and Fridays, from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 2 p.m. to 5:40 p.m. Admission is free.

As part of the government’s COVID-19 prevention measures, visitors need to wear a facemask, have their temperature checked and present a digital health code when entering the gallery.
