The Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) hoisted the No.3 typhoon signal at 7 p.m. yesterday.
According to the bureau’s website, based on the current trajectory of the storm, the bureau said last night that the hoisting of the No. 8 signal could be expected.
Tropical Cyclone Nida was 330 kilometres east-south-east of the city at 7 p.m. last night. It was heading north-west at about 25 kilometres per hour, the bureau said on its website.
