Members of the government-appointed Islands Community Service Consultative Council urged the government yesterday to increase the number of public facilities for dogs such as toilets and parks.

The councillors also want the government to raise public awareness of dog fouling, for which pet owners face a 600 pataca fine.

Iun Ioc Va, a vice-convenor of the government-appointed council, made the remarks after a regular meeting at the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau’s (IACM) Public Services Centre in Taipa.
