Macau's Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) said in a statement this evening that in response to the development of the COVID-19 pandemic in neighbouring regions and in order to facilitate the government's overall epidemic prevention and control measures, the opening ceremony of the 41st Macao Green Week, originally scheduled for tomorrow afternoon in Avenida da Praia, Taipa, and over 20 activities during the Green Week including tree planting, distribution of plants, ecological experience programmes and workshops, have been cancelled.
The bureau urged the public to continue supporting the government's novel coronavirus prevention and control measures.
