MGM China revenue drops 4 pct in Q2

MGM China Holdings said in a statement yesterday that its second-quarter revenue declined by 4 percent to HK$3.5 billion.

According to the statement, in the first half of the year the company recorded total revenue of HK$7.2 billion, down by 22% year-on-year. Adjusted EBITDA was HK$2.0 billion compared to HK$2.4 billion in the first six months of last year. Basic earnings per share stood at HK34.2 cents.

During the six-month period, main floor table games win was down 5 percent year-on-year and slot win was down 25 percent. VIP table games win was down 35 percent year-on-year. Hotel rooms at MGM MACAU achieved an occupancy rate of 95 percent during the period with revenue per available room (REVPAR) of HK$2,159.
