Carlton Bar & Lounge introduces ‘Refined Essences Cocktail Menu’

A Ritz-Carlton statement yesterday said that The Ritz-Carlton Bar & Lounge is introducing its new Refined Essences Cocktail Menu, offering a “fresh drinking experience to excite the palate”.

The statement said that the cocktail concept takes inspiration from the award-winning culinary delights at The Ritz-Carlton and incorporate a variety of sweet and savoury ingredients into handcrafted cocktails for guests to savour alongside live music.

The Ritz-Carlton is one of the luxury hotels at Galaxy Macau in Cotai.

The highlight of the new offerings is a tribute to The Ritz-Carlton Bar & Lounge’s unique Macanese culinary culture, the statement underlined.

A flavour of East meets West enlivens the Complextini, a sophisticated umami cocktail representing the nourishing Cantonese double boiled soup. Based on a classic vodka martini, it highlights conpoy and morel mushrooms, the two common soup ingredients, heightened with the aroma of shiso leaf.

Meanwhile, the Macau Red Bean Fleecy is a vodka-based version of the traditional Cantonese dessert drink Red Bean Ice. The statement said that it uses Japanese Azuki red beans, which are known for their flavour and size, paired with rose, Earl Grey gin, coconut milk, among others.

Moreover, relax and unwind with a “sessionable” gourmet cocktails such as the Art of Perfection –“Super Easy”, a botanical gin-based creation with flavours like hibiscus, coffee flower, coconut milk and Earl Grey tonic; the Ritz-zeria, which is inspired by classic Italian pizzas and is made with a blend of basil infused Tanqueray and elderflower liqueur, homemade tomato and white onion essence, finished with parmesan cheese; and the “Beats” Wine, a fortified vodka and Ruby Port reduction based concoction with flavours grounded on a Mediterranean beetroot and feta cheese salad, with aromas of stone fruit and spice, the statement said.

Favourites like the Margarita, Mai Tai and Piña Colada also promise “fortified takes”, the statement added.
