Ho to answer lawmakers’ questions on April 12

Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng will attend a plenary session of the Legislative Assembly (AL) on April 12 to answer lawmakers’ questions on government policies and social issues, the Macau Government Information Bureau (GCS) said in a statement yesterday.

The statement pointed out that the chief executive attends question-and-answer (Q&A) sessions at the Legislative Assembly with the aim of enhancing communication with the special administrative region’s 33 legislators, optimising transparency of the public administration and updating citizens about the implementation of government policies.

Customarily, the chief executive attends three Q&A sessions in the legislature’s hemicycle.

The session will start at 3 p.m. and be broadcast live on the television and radio channels of public broadcaster TDM.

Members of the public also have the option of watching the proceedings online via the website of the Macao SAR Government Portal (www.gov.mo); the website of the Chief Executive’s Office (www.gce.gov.mo); the website of the Legislative Assembly (www.al.gov.mo); the website of the Government Information Bureau (www.gcs.gov.mo);  and the official channels on YouTube of the Chief Executive’s Office (https://www.youtube.com/c/gcegovmo); the Government Information Bureau (https://www.youtube.com/macaogcs); and Facebook page of the Government Information Bureau (https://www.facebook.com/macaogcs).

Users of portable devices may watch the live sessions via “GCE Macao”, a mobile application launched by the Chief Executive’s Office; or through “Macao Government News”, the mobile app of GCS, according to the statement.
