The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) will hold 40 creative handicraft workshops, with eight sessions for families, at the Tap Siac Craft Market, the bureau said in a statement yesterday.

The government uses an alternative spelling for Tap Siac Craft Market to Praça do Tap Seac.

The craft market will take place from April 21 to April 24 and April 28 to May 1 in Praça do Tap Seac. The statement noted that the public can register at www.craftmarket.gov.mo until April 4, while the fee for each workshop is priced at 50 patacas.

The statement underlined that each person can register for up to “two workshops and one registration per workshop only”. The statement added that for family workshops, each child can only register for two workshops and once for each.

The selection of applicants will be done by drawing lots, with those selected being notified via SMS on April 7, as well as the craft market’s website. The statement added that applicants should pay the registration fees at designated locations within the specified time.

Those who arrive 10 minutes after the workshops start will lose their turn and will be replaced by on-site applicants on the waiting list, the statement said. Further details can be found in the “Registration Notes”.

The statement added that 30 minutes before the workshop starts, tickets will be distributed to on-site applicants and that the public can arrive earlier to be assigned to the waiting list.

Latecomers will be substituted by on-site applicants, who will have to register and pay the fees on-site, the statement pointed out.

In line with the Health Bureau’s (SSM) COVID-19 pandemic prevention measures, visitors must wear a mask, undergo temperature checks, present a valid Venue QR Code and “Macau Health Code”, maintain social distancing and follow on-site anti-epidemic and crowd control measures.

Enquiries can be made by contacting IC officials Ms. Zhou or Ms. Lio on 8399 6289 or 8399 6292 during office hours.
