An eatery near Hoi Pan Garden Estate in Areia Preta caught fire yesterday and the Fire Services Bureau (CB) said in a statement yesterday that it suspects the blaze was a lit stove causing grease in a clogged pipe to ignite.
The statement said that the fire erupted at 4 a.m. yesterday, stressing that no one was injured in the incident. After firefighters put out the blaze, the statement added, they found a pipe clogged with grease near a lit stove. The statement noted that two pieces of kitchen equipment were burnt and the ceiling was smoke damaged.
