A student was sitting “dangerously” on the rooftop of Santa Rosa de Lima Secondary School yesterday morning, and the police have notified the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) to follow up on the matter, the bureau said in a statement yesterday.
The statement said that with the help of firefighters, the female student was able to get down safely from the rooftop. According to the statement, the bureau has contacted counselling services and her family to provide support.
The Social Welfare Bureau (IAS) also told the media that residents should take care of their own, their family members and friends’ mental health. If help in needed, people can call Caritas’ life line at 2852 5222 or IAS hotline at 2826 1126.
The statement did to mention the reason for the girl’s decision to sit “dangerously” on the school’s rooftop. Neither did it reveal her age.
