The legislature’s 1st Standing Committee yesterday finished reviewing a bill on the government-proposed non-mandatory central provident fund system, according to lawmaker-cum-unionist Kwan Tsui Hang, who chairs the committee.

Kwan also said that lawmakers on the committee hoped the government would submit a revised version of the bill by the end of the year.

The lawmaker made the remarks after a closed-door meeting with government officials at the Legislative Assembly (AL).
