The Cultural Affairs Bureau announced in a statement yesterday that the *Tap Siac Craft Market will be launched next Thursday, with an opening ceremony to be held at 6 p.m. that day.
The statement noted that the ceremony will feature Beijing indie rock band “EXCUSE ME. The band won the Asian Music Festival “Best Rock Band” award in 2017 and the Tencent Music Entertainment Awards “Best Emerging Band” award in 2019.
More than 100 handicraft and creative gastronomy stalls will be featured at the event that will showcase cultural and creative products such as lifestyle products and handicrafts, the statement said. Music performances from local and mainland musicians will also take place.
Moreover, creative handicraft workshops will be held at the event. The statement added that applicants chosen by drawing lots must arrive to the workshops on time, with those arriving 10 minutes after the workshop starts being replaced by on-site applicants on the waiting list. Tickets will be distributed 30 minutes before each workshop, with latecomers being replaced by on-site applicants on the waiting list, who must register and pay a 50 pataca application fee per workshop on site, the statement pointed out.
In line with the Health Bureau’s (SSM) COVID-19 pandemic prevention measures, visitors must wear a facemask, undergo a temperature check, present a valid green “Macau Health Code” and Venue QR Code, maintain social distancing and follow on-site measures.
The statement said that the market will run from April 21-24 and April 28 to May 1, being open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, and 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
