Activists of the grassroots New Macau Association (NMA) yesterday called for the government to bar all companies from registering as “election campaign supporters” when further reviewing its legislative election amendment bill.
The group also said associations which received subsidies from the government in the 12-month run-up to the legislature’s direct and indirect elections should also be barred from registering.
The activists held a press conference at their office yesterday about their opinions on the proposed amendments to the law.
