Education exhibition shows country’s national security effort

An exhibition entitled “National Security Education Exhibition” is being held at the Services Platform Complex for Commercial and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (PSCs) in Nam Van with the aim of presenting the great achievements in national security that the country has made. 

The exhibition is co-organised by the local government and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau Special Administrative Region (MSAR) for the fifth time. 

According to the exhibition statement, there are over 420 photos with captions and several videos, highlighting the fact that in guiding a holistic view of national security, the country has coordinated development and security, responded calmly to extraordinary historical changes and an epidemic unprecedented in the past hundred years, and promoted a series of major national security achievements in the new era. 

The exhibition also underlines various measures and achievements by the local government in upholding national security and promoting the principle of “One country, Two systems”, helping visitors to recall the development process of the nation and Macau over the past year, to firmly establish the overall perspective of national security, to consciously fulfil the responsibilities of protecting national security and to join forces to consolidate the good situation of “Patriots Administrating Macau”, according to the statement. 

The content of the exhibition is available on the “National Security Education Exhibition” themed website, https://eesn.gov.mo, where the virtual exhibition rooms can be viewed at 360 degrees, allowing visitors to see the exhibition as if they were on site. 

The award-winning works in a composition competition about national security and the list of all winners are displayed at the exhibition.  

The composition competition entitled “The National Security Overview from My Point of View”, co-organised by the local government and the Liaison Office, was held for high school and university students in Macau in the runup to the exhibition. 

The exhibition located at the Services Platform Complex for Commercial and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (PSCs) in Nam Van (中國與葡語國家商貿合作服務平台綜合體) on Avenida Dr Sun Yat Sen (孫逸仙大馬路), is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. until May 15. Admission is free of charge. 

However, to facilitate the registration of groups and the booking of the exhibition’s guided tour service, online registration and an information enquiry hotline have been available since April 4. Interested groups can fill in the information sheets under “group registration” on website. For more details about the exhibition, one can call 8800 6262 during office hours. 

Visitors are required to wear a facemask, display a valid Macau Health Code and have their temperature checked when entering the venue.
