A TCM bus rear ended another TCM bus near Barra yesterday morning, the authorities said.
There were no passengers on the two public buses when the accident occurred. They were travelling back to the bus terminal near Barra.
One of the two drivers was slightly injured.
According to statements by the Fire Services Bureau (CB) and the Public Security Police (PSP), the accident occurred at around 9 a.m. yesterday when the No. 11 route bus rammed into the back of the No. 1 route bus in Avenida Panorâmica do Lago Sai Van (西灣湖景大馬路), near the entrance to the Macau-Taipa Sai Van Bridge.
TCM told local media yesterday that the No. 1 route bus jammed on the brakes hard as a motorcycle in front suddenly braked, and the No. 11 route bus failed to brake in time.
