The Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) announced in a statement yesterday that its “Stay, Dine and See Macao” project will launch a drone-themed tour with the upcoming “Light up Macao Drone Gala 2022”, as well as other itineraries.
The statement noted that with shows slated for May 1 (Labour Day), 2, 7 and 8 (Buddha’s Birthday), the event will be incorporated with a tour of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Historic Centre of Macau. Residents will be charged 68 patacas for the tour.
The statement added that a professional photographer will accompany the participants in each group to teach them how to capture photos of World Heritage sites such as A-Ma Temple and Dom Pedro V Theatre. During the drone shows, the photographer will also show participants how to capture them at “low shutter speed and ISO value”.
Tour participants will assemble at the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal at 4 p.m. during drone show days and will be led by a tour guide and professional photographer, the statement added. Participants can choose where to dine separately around Anim’Arte NAM VAN with their 100-pataca dining cards.
The statement added that 11 more itineraries will launch this month, while residents are also granted subsides. Six night-time and gastronomic itineraries also provide dining experiences at various buffets, with some tour prices varying on weekdays and weekends. Meanwhile, the night-time itineraries feature the Historic Centre of Macau, the Fisherman’s Wharf, Rua do Cunha in Taipa, and LRT rides, among others, according to the statement.
Moreover, a Chinese-medicine themed tour will take participants to visit the Ecological Trail Garden of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, where they will be briefed about medicinal plants, as well as visit Macau’s “first smart and communal” Chinese pharmacy, the statement said.
The statement added that professional photographers will also show tour participants how to capture “birds’ movements” for the ecology and popular science educational tour to the Cotai Ecological Zone.
There are also three other itineraries intended for families such as a “close encounter” with miniature horses at the Macau Jockey Club and visiting the Fire Services Museum.
The tours will be available until June, with sign-up and details available at https://www.macaotourism.gov.mo/en/article/subsidies/macao-tour-hotel.
