A talk on online film distribution is slated for next Wednesday where local and mainland film industry representatives will be invited to discuss and exchange ideas on the current situation of the distribution of online films, according to a statement by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) yesterday.
The talk will be held at 3:30 p.m. at the Macau Cultural & Creative Integrated Services Centre, the statement noted. A live stream of the event will also be available for the public to watch during the event on the Macau Cultural and Creative Industries’ Facebook page “Macau CCI” (www.facebook.com/macaucci).
The statement pointed out that Shenzhen ROC FILM Culture Media Company Limited representative Xiong Peng, 1220 Film Production Co. Ltd. founder Chong Cho Kio, and Free Dream Production Studio Director Lou Ka Hou will be invited to share their insights on the development of online film and television distribution platforms in the mainland, and film and television production channels to enter the market.
The event aims to enable local film and television practitioners and related professionals to learn about online film and television distribution channels, with a question-and-answer session at the end, the statement added.
The statement underlined that the talk will be conducted in Putonghua and Cantonese, with no interpretation provided. Those interested can register at www5.icm.gov.mo/eform2/event and go to the Macau Cultural & Creative Integrated Services Centre at 6/F, Man Kei Industrial Building. Avenida do Coronel Mesquita, (澳門文創綜合服務中心，澳門美副將大馬路48號萬基工業大廈六樓) on the day of the event upon successful registration.
In line with the Health Bureau’s (SSM) pandemic prevention measures, participants must wear a facemask, undergo a temperature check, present a valid green Macau Health Code and Venue QR Code, maintain social distancing, and follow on-site COVID-19 prevention and control measures.
