Orbis Macau said in a recent statement that it has launched the 2022 edition of the Orbis Raffle to help transform the lives of the many visually impaired children in need, so that they will not be living in a world without colours.

According to the statement, 90 million children are living with vision loss, and two million of them are blind. The statement noted that 90 percent of these cases are preventable, while 90 percent of these children are living in low- to-middle income countries, where they have very limited or no access to quality eye-care. The statement said that this is an annual campaign dedicated towards raising vital resources for the global paediatric sight-saving programmes of Orbis.

The statement said that until June 30, people can support the Orbis Raffle Charity Sale by buying the raffle tickets, as well as encouraging people around you to support the event. The statement said that raffle tickets are priced at 10 patacas each, after deducting all costs, more than 9 patacas from the sales of each ticket will go to support Orbis’ global paediatric vision-saving programmes and sustainable training.

Orbis Macau urged people to be part of the effort to help millions of visually impaired children in need of ophthalmologic aid and quality paediatric eye care.
