A 30-year-old non-resident worker got into a heated argument with his co-worker at an eatery in Estrada de Coelho do Amaral, and attacked the latter with a cleaver on Saturday night, the Public Security Police (PSP) said in a statement on the same day.
According to the statement, the injured worker is also a non-resident worker at the restaurant. The statement said that at around 9:30 p.m. the victim had his back slashed twice and his waist was also hurt, adding that he was rushed to hospital where he was reported to be in stable condition.
The Public Security Police (PSP) told public broadcaster TDM that the suspect has been arrested. He told the police that the pair began feuding about work matter.
